Cyanotypes are a type of alternative photography sometimes developed by sunshine (as those pictured here) and sometimes by moonlight, or other light sources. Cyanotypes are usually blue (as in these examples), but in more recent times other chemicals have been utilised to change the colours in this fascinating process.  The cyanotype solution can be applied to many different surfaces apart from paper, there are some shown here applied to beechwood, fabric and different papers.
